Clark County Planning Commission and County Council will host public work sessions in October for the 2025 Comprehensive Growth Management Plan Update. Public attendees are invited, but commentary will not be available during the sessions, a news release by Clark County stated.
The Clark County Planning Commission’s work session will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3. The Clark County Council will hold the next work session at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9. Both meetings will occur at the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St., Vancouver.
Attendees may also join virtually via Webex. A link to join virtually will be available before the meeting at clark.wa.gov/community-planning, the release stated.
The work sessions will focus on the draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for the Comprehensive Plan. Individuals requested more than 130 site-specific amendments for the 2025 Comprehensive Plan update. Requested changes include expansions of urban growth boundaries, mining overlays and more, the release stated.
The DEIS will inform the public about the potential environmental impacts of the requested changes in the Comprehensive Plan update, the Planning Commission website stated.

The public is encouraged to submit written comments regarding the Comprehensive Plan update. Submissions may be made online at shorturl.at/IMXZe or via mail to Community Planning, Comp Plan Comments, P.O. Box 9810, Vancouver, WA 98666. Comments and letters will be reviewed at a future hearing, the news release stated.
