Registrations have opened for Clark County park picnic shelters, where residents can host outdoor events. Many shelters are equipped with electricity and water, while others have fireplaces and barbecues for entertaining.

Shelters in northern Clark County available for reservation include Hockinson Meadows Community Park, Lewisville Regional Park and Fairgrounds Community Park.

Reservations are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are open for dates until Thursday, Oct. 31. Bookings cost between $50 and $150 for a full day and depend on the size and occupancy of the shelter, a county news release stated.

Information about reservations can be found online at shorturl.at/bisEV. Reservations can be made online or by calling 564-397-2285 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Revenue from bookings helps support park maintenance and operations, the news release stated.

While small parties and events do not require a permit, park-use permits are required for events such as athletic competitions and festivals. For information about permitting, email parks@clark. wa.gov or call 564-397-2285.
