The Ridgefield Hometown Celebration concluded with the Christmas Tree Lighting in Overlook Park on Saturday, Dec. 7.
The tree lighting was joined by a dance performance from DanceFusionNW and was followed with joyous Christmas carols. The festive atmosphere was enhanced by the scent and warmth of free hot cocoa and cookies, courtesy of Killa Bites.
Overlook Park was dim with surrounding lights and patio heaters and the faint glow of evening light, but the park was illuminated once the tree was turned on after the 10-second countdown.
Following the Hometown Celebration, the City of Ridgefield stated in a press release for people to keep an eye on the city’s social media for weekly locations of limited edition 2024 ornaments hidden throughout the community for all to find.
