Genealogical Society family tree webinar: 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 16. Join the Clark County Genealogical Society for the Legacy Family Tree Webinar, “Try to Stump Professional Genealogist Craig Scott,” where participants can ask questions to test his genealogical and historical knowledge. Questions must be submitted in advance to geogg@legacyfamilytree.com prior to the event. Non-members are welcome too. La Center Class of 2022 auction: March 17 through March 20. The La Center High School Class of 2022 will host an online auction to raise funds for their Safe and Sober Graduation Night party, which the school hosts annually. NatureScaping Soil Basics: 4 p.m. on Friday, March 18. Join Cowlitz County Master Gardener Art Fuller as he partners with the Camas Library to teach about the building blocks of what makes a good fertilizer and how to have a successful garden. Plant propagation in the garden: 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 26. Join WSU Master Gardener Roxanne Nakamura as she shows how to make cuttings of woody materials and soft growth on herbs. The class is held in-person and the address will be given upon registration. Attendees will be able to take herbs home after cutting. Enrollment is limited to 10 people and costs $10. Free interviewing skills class: Noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29. The Clark County Toastmasters will host a free class on how to nail your next job interview. La Center kindergarten registration: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekdays at the La Center Elementary School office, 700 E. Fourth St., or online at lacenterschools.org. Kindergarten for La Center children starts on April 11. Parents are strongly encouraged to register beforehand. Children must turn 5 years old on or before Aug. 31. Parents must bring a copy of their child’s immunization record and birth certificate. Kindy Club Nights will also be hosted from 5 to 6 p.m. on April 21 and May 19 in the La Center Elementary School cafeteria. The events help prepare incoming students.

Happy Hoppers beginner square dance lessons: 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. every Monday through April 25. Join Happy Hoppers in square dancing lessons for beginners. Cost is $5 per person.
