Chair based yoga: 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 14. Join the Battle Ground Senior Citizens as they host chair based yoga. It will be held at the Battle Ground Senior Center, 116 NE Third Ave., Battle Ground. Mobile Community Services: Noon to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 14. The Mobile Community Services Office will visit the North County Community Food Bank at 17 NE Third Ave. in Battle Ground. At the event, people can apply for cash assistance, basic food assistance, medical assistance and the Medicare savings program. Attendees can also drop off paperwork, complete an eligibility review, a mid-certification review or make changes.

Landscaping with native plants: 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Dec. 17. Join NatureScape Wildlife Botanical Gardens for a class titled “Landscaping with PNW native plants.” The presentation will be hosted by Hannah Schrager, owner of Good Year Farms. The introductory course will teach people how to marry aesthetics and ecology. It will be held at Build B, Room 205 of the CASEE Center at 11104 NE 149th St., Brush Prairie. Lewis River Holiday Market: Noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17 and Sunday, Dec. 18. Head over to Lewis River Golf Course for a market that will include local vendors, lunch specials, a community food drive and Santa. Admission to the event is free. Lewis River Rotary: 7 to 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 20 at the Battle Ground Community Center, 912 E. Main St., Battle Ground. Join the Lewis River Rotary Club as Tammy Haas, the executive director of Creating Friendships for Peace, speaks. The Lewis River Rotary meets from 7 to 8 a.m. on the first and third Tuesday of the month, and from 5:45 to 7 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month. Guests are welcome. Creative cardmaking class: 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 18. Join the Battle Ground Senior Citizens for a creative cardmaking class. It will be held at the Battle Ground Senior Center, 116 NE Third Ave., Battle Ground. The group makes homemade greeting cards every other month. Bliss Yoga (Lewisville): 6 to 7:15 p.m. on Wednesdays at the Tukes Valley school stage, Mondays from 6 to 7:15 p.m. and Fridays from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Lewisville Campus gymnasium stage area, 406 NW Fifth Ave., Battle Ground. Take off Pounds Sensibly (TOPS): 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. every Thursday at the mobile home park at 300 SW Seventh Ave. in Battle Ground.  The meeting starts with a weigh-in. Columbia River Square Dancers: Lessons 6 to 8 p.m. on Sundays, dances at 7 p.m. for plus level and 8 to 9:45 p.m. for mainstream level on the first and third Friday of each month.
