La Center kindergarten registration: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekdays at the La Center Elementary School office, 700 E. Fourth St., or online at lacenterschools.org. Kindergarten for La Center children starts on April 11. Parents are strongly encouraged to register beforehand. Children must turn 5 years old on or before Aug. 31. Kindy Club Nights will also be hosted from 5 to 6 p.m. on April 21 and May 19 in the La Center Elementary School cafeteria. The events help prepare incoming students.
