Pioneer Street is closed between Discovery Drive and 56th Place effective Friday, Nov. 1, and will remain closed until 11 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11. The road is closed to allow for city contractors to install a stream culvert and utility work on the premises.
Drivers using the Interstate 5 interchange can follow a detour route via South Royle Road, Wells Drive, Timm Road, South Sixth Way and South 56th Place. Additionally, 53rd Place will be accessible for northbound drivers on weekdays from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. to help alleviate congestion. Once Pioneer Street reopens, the temporary signal at 53rd Place will be removed, and the intersection will switch to right-in and right-out access only.
