Elections officials will perform a hand count of approximately 600 randomly selected ballots as part of a manual comparison against machine results starting at 9 a.m. on Aug. 3.
For the comparison, the race for Congressional District 3 will be recounted by hand to check the accuracy of the ballot tabulation equipment, stated a news release.
The selected ballots will be counted in the total returns on election day.
The deadline to cast a ballot for the primary election was 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 2.
Election results will be printed in the Aug. 10 edition of The Reflector. They are available online at clark.wa.gov/elections and at thereflector.com.
