Clark County to host open house on agricultural lands study

Posted

Clark County residents are invited to learn about the county’s ongoing agricultural lands study during an open house from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 28, at the Battle Ground Community Center, located at 912 E. Main St., Battle Ground.

Residents are encouraged to register for the event in advance at bit.ly/2025CPAgReg2.

County planners will explain how local farmland is being evaluated as part of the 20-year update to the Comprehensive Growth Management Plan, a long-term guide for managing growth and development in the county. Planners will also share high-level initial findings from the agricultural lands study, according to a news release from Clark County.

The last comprehensive review of agricultural resource lands took place in 1994, when the county adopted its first growth management plan. The new agricultural lands study will focus on unincorporated areas to ensure farmland designations remain consistent with state and local regulations.

Feedback on the agricultural lands study can be shared at the open house, online at bit.ly/2025CPComments or by emailing comp.plan@clark.wa.gov
