Clark County is accepting applications to fill four volunteer positions on the Clean Water Commission, an advisory group that helps guide county services and policies related to water quality and watershed health.
One position will begin upon appointment and end in December 2026. The remaining three will start in January 2026 and run through December 2028, a news release by Clark County stated.
Applicants must reside in Clark County, either within a city or in the unincorporated area. While professional experience is not required, those with an interest in environmental advocacy, education or water quality are encouraged to apply.
The nine-member commission meets in person from 6 to 8 p.m. on the first Wednesday of every other month. Members must attend six meetings annually and are encouraged to support clean water-related activities outside of scheduled meetings, the news release stated.
To apply, submit a letter of interest and a resume by 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 25, to cleanwater@clark.wa.gov or mail to Clark County Public Works, Clean Water Division, Devan Rostorfer, P.O. Box 5000, Vancouver, WA 98660-5000.
