Clark County seeks nominations for Silver Citizen Award

Clark County’s Commission on Aging is accepting nominations for its sixth annual Silver Citizen Award, which honors older adults who make significant contributions to their community.

Nominees must be Clark County residents age 60 or older and may be recognized for volunteerism, leadership or other impactful acts of service. While lifetime achievements are considered, the award emphasizes contributions made after turning 60, a news release by Clark County stated.

Nominations are due by 5 p.m., Friday, Aug. 29. The award will be presented at a future Commission on Aging event, the release stated.
