Clark County seeks nominations for local businesses and individuals for Disability Employment Awareness Awards

Clark County is seeking nominations of businesses and individuals for its annual Clark County Disability Employment Awareness Month Awards, stated a news release. 

The release said the award honors the role people with developmental disabilities have in assisting the county by achieving a dynamic, productive workforce, as well as recognizes the leadership of the business community. 

Awards will be given for a large employer of people with developmental or intellectual disabilities (50 or more local employees), a small employer (49 or less local employees) and an employee with a developmental or intellectual disability, the release stated. More awards include the Dennis Campbell Outstanding Service Award for outstanding service that improves the lives of individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities, as well as the David Hanawalt Service Award, which is given to an employment specialist who demonstrates service to their clients above and beyond the client’s expectations, exceeds the contractual obligations and promotes client success and growth, stated the release.



The release stated that award recipients will be honored at the 22nd Annual Disability Employment Awareness Month Celebration on Wednesday, Oct. 5 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Networking will take place from 4 to 4:30 p.m.
