Clark County seeks input on housing report and funding changes

Posted

Clark County is accepting public comments on its draft 2024 Consolidated Annual Performance Evaluation Report (CAPER), which reviews federally funded housing and community development projects, and on proposed changes to how those funds are allocated.

The report covers projects funded between July 2024 and June 2025. Proposed amendments include rescinding $421,959 originally set aside for a Second Step Housing Market Rate Unit Acquisition project and reallocating $93,670 in Community Housing Development Organization funds. Some of this money will support Columbia Non-Profit Housing’s senior housing project and Share’s rental assistance program, a news release by Clark County stated.

Comments will be accepted through 11:59 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22. Feedback can be emailed to Nooreen.Ebrahim@clark.wa.gov

A public hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, during the Clark County Council meeting at the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St., Vancouver. The full CAPER report is available online at shorturl.at/EmYy2.
