Clark County Public Works will host an open house on Thursday, Dec. 11, to share updated concepts for public access improvements at the 78th Street Heritage Farm, located at NE 78th St. and NE 19th Ct., Vancouver.
The event will run from 6 to 8 p.m. at Minnehaha Elementary School, 2800 NE 54th St., Vancouver, with a presentation and Q&A scheduled for 6:30 p.m., a news release by Clark County stated.
The project includes plans for a restroom, shelter pavilion and public trail. The improvements are the first step toward implementing the farm’s master plan update, approved by the Clark County Council in 2020. The plan aims to make the site more accessible for visitors and program users, the release stated.
A community survey will open the same day and will be available at the open house and online. The presentation and Q&A will also be streamed via Webex for virtual participants. Both can be found at shorturl.at/UPQ9b.
The 78th Street Heritage Farm is an 80-acre historic property used for education, community programs and agricultural activities. Its programs aim to connect the community with Clark County’s agricultural heritage.
