Clark County lifted its bans on outdoor debris burning and recreational fires in unincorporated areas Oct. 1 after favorable weather conditions lowered fire danger.
“Fire season isn’t over yet, so use extreme caution when burning and never leave a fire of any size unattended,” Clark County Fire Marshal Donna Goddard said in a Sept. 30 news release.
The county typically bans outdoor burning from July through September based on seasonal fuel conditions, though such bans may begin earlier or end later depending on conditions. Permits are still required for yard debris and land-clearing burns, and residents should follow all permit conditions before beginning a burn.
