Celebrate summer with Ridgefield’s Day of Festivals

Downtown Ridgefield will celebrate community and culture with its annual Day of Festivals on Saturday, Aug. 2. The event features family-friendly activities throughout the city, all with free admission.

  • City Days Booths & Rigs: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Ridgefield Skate Park, 108 N. Third Ave. Learn about Ridgefield city services and operations, including stormwater protection, parks planning and street maintenance. Equipment such as plow trucks, backhoes and street sweepers will be on display, and attendees can meet Ridgefield city council members and learn about Envision Ridgefield 2045.
  • Ridgefield First Saturdays Vendor Market & Farmers Market: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Davis Park, 337-411 N. Third Ave. Shop from dozens of vendors offering local produce, artisan bread, handmade jewelry, home décor, snacks, clothing and more.
  • Children’s Entrepreneur Market: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Overlook Park, 113-131 S. Main Ave. Budding young business owners will showcase and sell their homemade goods while practicing customer service and money handling. Participants will help the children practice business skills, including money management and customer service.
  • Duck Calling Contests: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Abrams Park, 400 Abrams Park Road. Ridgefield will host its first Washington, Oregon, and Northwest Regional Sanctioned Duck Calling Contests. The event includes categories from juniors to world championship qualifiers, along with raffles and vendors.
  • Dragon Boat Races: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Ridgefield Waterfront, Mill Street. Watch club and community teams compete on a 50-meter course to raise funds for local Clark County charities. The race will begin at Ridgefield Waterfront and finish at the west end of Pioneer Street.

Free parking is available at each event location, with additional parking available at Ridgefield United Methodist Church, Church of the Nazarene and Union Ridge Elementary. A free C-TRAN shuttle will transport attendees between all festival sites from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a break from noon to 12:30 p.m.
