To help New Year’s Eve travelers arrive home safely, C-TRAN routes will be free from 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 31 through the end of service. Many routes have been extended until 2 a.m. or later.
Routes with extended service hours to 2 a.m. or later include: 34, 48, 60, 65, 71, 80, The Vine on Fourth Plain and The Vine on Mill Plain, a press release by C-TRAN stated.
New routes offering late-night service for the first time this year include Route 34, connecting Mill Plain Transit Center and Fisher’s Landing Transit Center; and Route 48, providing service to Ridgefield and ilani Casino.
For people celebrating in Portland, TriMet and the Portland Streetcar are providing free service after 8 p.m. on New Year’s Eve. Most MAX lines will operate until approximately 2 a.m.
