BGPS announces January employee awards

Battle Ground Public Schools (BGPS) announced its January Employee Recognition Award recipients in a Jan. 26 news release.

The awards highlight district staff members who “embody the district’s values and commitment to student learning,” according to the release.

The selection criteria include the nominee’s commitment to the school district’s goals of creating a safe, high-quality learning environment that fosters trust and respect between staff and students. Nominations are open to all BGPS staff members.

January’s Employee Recognition Award winners are:

• Amy Caldwell, Daybreak Primary School, special education teacher
• Lori Engelking, Prairie High School, social and emotional learning paraeducator
• Ali Ramberg, Pleasant Valley Middle School, special education paraeducator
• Adalie Smithline, Yacolt Primary School, basic education assistant
