BGPS announces February employee awards

Battle Ground Public Schools (BGPS) announced the February winners of the Employee Recognition Awards in a Feb. 24 news release.

The awards highlight staff members who “embody the district’s values and commitment to student learning,” the release stated. 

The selection criteria include the nominee’s commitment to the school district’s goals of creating a safe, high-quality learning environment with mutual trust and respect between staff and students.

Nominations are open to every staff member in Battle Ground Public Schools.

February’s Employee Recognition Award winners are:

• Daniela Alexakis, Yacolt Primary School, health and fitness teacher
• Vicki Goodard, Chief Umtuch Middle School, Chartwells lead
• Kristina Heikes, Daybreak Middle School, center-based classroom teacher
• Tina Yorke, Prairie High School, counseling secretary
