Battle Ground Senior Citizens Inc. was selected as one of 37 grant recipients by the Clark County Realtor Foundation this month.
The organization received a $1,000 grant to support its Grief Group program. The announcement was made on Wednesday, Dec. 3, during the foundation’s annual grant reception at Union Chapel in Vancouver.
“We are deeply grateful to the Clark County Realtor Foundation for recognizing the importance of supporting our senior community,” Sharon Wodtke, president of Battle Ground Senior Citizens Inc., said in a Dec. 16 news release. “These grant funds will help us provide our new Grief Group program that supports seniors in any type of grief situation.”
The Clark County Realtor Foundation has supported local nonprofit organizations since 2005, focusing on improving the quality of life for children, families and seniors throughout Clark County.
