The City of Battle Ground is inviting residents to share their ideas for future improvements to McConnell Park, a 2-acre community park at 918 NW 25th Ave., Battle Ground.
Survey feedback will help shape the park’s new master plan, which will guide long-term enhancements and amenities. Potential additions include expanded, ADA-accessible playground features, nature-inspired play areas, outdoor fitness equipment, and a flexible event space, a news release by the City of Battle Ground stated.
The city has allocated $75,000 in park impact fees for preliminary site and design work. Input from residents, along with guidance from the Parks & Community Engagement Advisory Board and City Council, will form the foundation of the final plan, according to the release.
The survey is open through Friday, Aug. 22, at shorturl.at/rIUND. Paper copies are available at City Hall, 109 SW First St., from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
