The City of Battle Ground is accepting applications for two Tourism Generator positions on its Lodging Tax Advisory Committee. Applications are due Feb. 23.
The committee is a five-member volunteer body that makes recommendations to the Battle Ground City Council on how to use lodging tax revenue. Battle Ground collects a 4% lodging tax on hotel, motel and bed-and-breakfast stays, according to a city news release.
The two open positions must be filled by individuals who work for or operate an organization eligible to receive lodging tax grant funding.
Applicants will be considered for appointment by the mayor, with confirmation by the City Council. Applicants who are not appointed may be considered for future vacancies for up to one year from the date their application is submitted.
