Battle Ground Public Schools offers summer meals program

Children and teens who are 18 years old or younger can enjoy a free breakfast and lunch in Battle Ground this summer through the Summer Food Services Program.

Funded through a grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the program addresses the need for nutritious meals when school is not in session, stated a news release. It is sponsored by Battle Ground Public Schools.

There will be no curbside pickup and meals must be consumed on site, stated the release.

Meals will be provided at three locations. 

Breakfast will be served from 8:10 to 8:40 a.m. Monday through Thursday from July 11 to July 28 at River HomeLink, 610A SW Eaton Blvd. in Battle Ground. Lunch will be served from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Monday through Friday through Aug. 18 at the same location.



Lunch will also be provided from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Monday through Friday through Aug. 18 at Daybreak Primary School, 1900 NW 20th Ave. in Battle Ground.

Glenwood Heights Primary School, located at 9716 NE 134th St. in Battle Ground, will serve breakfast from 8:10 to 8:40 a.m. and lunch from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Monday through Thursday from July 11 to July 28. 

Children are not required to attend a Battle Ground school to participate. 

No meals will be provided on Monday, July 4.
