The city of Battle Ground has named Lynne Groth as the June 2026 recipient of its BiG Heart Award, recognizing her nearly three decades of service to the community through Battle Ground Auto Licensing.
City officials announced the recognition in a recent social media post, highlighting Groth’s kindness, warmth and customer service. For almost 30 years, Groth has helped turn routine licensing visits into positive experiences for residents.
According to the city, many customers are willing to wait specifically for the chance to be helped by Groth.
“She has a gift for making people feel welcome, valued, and cared for,” the city stated in its announcement.
The BiG Heart Citizen Recognition Program honors Battle Ground residents, organizations and businesses whose service, accomplishments and contributions help strengthen the community. The program is meant to spotlight both everyday acts of kindness and larger efforts that make Battle Ground a more connected place to live.
The award is presented monthly to one selected recipient. Honorees are recognized at a Battle Ground City Council meeting and receive a commemorative BiG Heart stone, lapel pin and certificate.
Nominations for future BiG Heart Award recipients can be submitted at cityofbg.org/BiGHeart.
