Clark County Public Works will begin removing outdated, unsafe play equipment from Lewisville Regional Park in late June.
The equipment, located in several areas of the park, no longer meets current safety standards. Play structures near the park’s beach area, south of the softball fields, and the Alder shelter will remain in place, a news release by Clark County stated.
Equipment removal is expected to be completed by early July. During removal, visitors may encounter construction-related traffic delays and noise at the park.
Clark County Parks and Nature plans to update the park plan for Lewisville Regional Park later this year. The updated plan will include a new location for a play area within the park. Public input opportunities on the park plan will be available at a later date, the news release stated.
