North County golfers head to state

North County golfers are headed to courses across the state this week to compete in state championships. Here’s a look at who advanced to state and when they’ll be teeing off: 

Boys

Eight local boys will be representing their schools at the 2A State Golf Tournament at Liberty Lake Golf Course in Spokane. 

Ridgefield will be represented by Cade Bringhurst (tee time 7:09 a.m.), Kellen Bringhurst (7:27), Kale Suomi (7:45), Caden Whitsitt (8:48), Nick Radosevich (9:06) and Eli Saenz (9:42). Hockinson is sending two boys to the 2A state tournament; Tanner Hough (9:24) and Jarrett Christensen (9:51)

Prairie High School is sending five boys to the 3A State Golf Tournament at Meadowwood Golf Course in Spokane; Isaac Kinsman (3:03 p.m.), Cam Beeson (3:12), Hugh Foster (3:21), Brenden Garvin (3:30) and Brandt Beeson (3:39)



Anthony Tobias is representing Battle Ground in the 4A State Golf Tournament in Spokane at The Creek at Qualchan Golf Course. He tees off at 10:12 a.m.

Girls

Six girls are headed to MeadowWood Golf Course in Spokane for the women’s 2A State Golf Tournament. Samantha Fenton (8:42 a.m.) and Alyssa Dewey (9:18) are golfing for Ridgefield. Hanna Bowie (10:12) and Isabella Smith (10:30) are golfing for Hockinson. Rayleah Trice (9:00) and Abby Bozarth (9:09) represent Woodland. 

Charis Abrahamson is representing Prairie High School in the 3A State Golf Tournament at Hawks Prairie Golf Course (Woodlands) in Lacey. She tees off at 11:30.
