People have written volumes debunking your mythical Republican Party values. The cons only use states' rights as a last resort to push some agenda getting no traction. They systematically defund most of their "family values" blather. Their party has been failing since the emergence of the tea-baggers as their base realizes the demographic trends are moving away from their typical agendas. Look no further than the last mid-terms to see how their 50 year war on abortion worked out for them. The handwriting is on the wall unless they re-invent themselves and become relevant to younger voters and cowtowing to the extremists and trump isn't helping either.
