Boy Scouts achieve Eagle rank

Six Boy Scouts from the Ft. Vancouver District successfully passed their Eagle Scout Board of Review during the month of May 2013, and have been advanced to the rank of Eagle Scout.

Collectively, these Boy Scouts planned and lead over 600 hours of community service.

• Adam Skordahl of Boy Scout Troop 14 lead a group of scouts and adult volunteers in making many needed improvements to the landscaping and trail at Pleasant Valley Park. Adam, age 18, is the son of Dorine and Lance Skordahl. He is a senior at Skyview High School.

• Tayler Jackman of Boy Scout Troop 328 lead a group of scouts to renovate the flag podium at Pleasant Valley Middle School. Tayler, 18, is the son of Dave and Stacy Jackman. He is a senior at River Homelink School.



• Nathaniel Taylor of Boy Scout Troop 320 lead a group of scouts to help renovate the St. Johns Lutheran Cemetery by cleaning head stones and doing landscaping. Nathaniel, 18, is the son of Ken and Joan Shelby. He is a senior at Prairie High School. (115 hours)

• Carter Coval of Boy Scout Troop 358 lead a group of scouts and adult volunteers in building a brick tree planter and bench at Kings Way Christian High School. Carter, 17, is the son of Tom and Valerie Coval. He is a junior at Kings Way Christian High School.

• Colter Snoozy of Boy Scout Crew 637 organized a Red Cross blood drive. Colter, 18, is the son of Jim and Kristen Snoozy. He is a senior at Ridgefield High School.

• Travis Rolf of Boy Scout Troop 731 lead a group of scouts and adult volunteers in building a fire pit, benches and signage for Swift Lake at the Mt. St. Helens Institute. Travis, 18, is the son of David and Dondi Rolf. He is a senior at Mt. View High School.
