Youth Mental Health First Aid class to be held

BATTLE GROUND – A Youth Mental Health First Aid class will be held Fri., Oct. 30, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., at Crossway Church, 311 N. Parkway Ave., Battle Ground.

Instructors for the class will be Curtis Miller with the Battle Ground Mentor Collaborative and Justin Farrell, a licensed social worker. There is no cost to attend, the class is paid for by the Battle Ground School District Project Aware grant. This class is for adults in any youth contact capacity.

The class teaches participants how to respond to youth experiencing a mental health crisis such as depression, anxiety, substance abuse, suicide ideation, eating disorders, ADHD, bi-polar disorder and more.
