Meet the 2017 Battle Ground Rose Court

From March 2017 to February 2018 the four princesses making up this year’s Battle Ground Rose Court will attend about 40 events including the Hazel Dell parade, Hockinson Fun Days and Harvest Days this fall. 

 

Teaghan Delano, 16

Career ambition: Something in the arts (singing, acting, dancing)

College choice: Unknown

Other future plans: Running Start Program at Clark Community College

Community service involvement:

ALS Walk

Special talents: Singer

Sport participation: Dance team

Hobbies: Reading, writing and singing

High school or other community honors received: Scholar athlete, honor roll, most inspirational for dance team

 

McKenna Haney, 17

Career ambition: Environmental

advocacy/conservation or environmental sciences 

College choice: Unknown

Other future plans: Writing on the side, band program

Community service involvement:

CASEE Program, Battle Ground Library

Special talents: Writing and playing flute

High school or other community honors received: AAUW Women in Science Award in technology, honor roll, various CASEE awards

 

Danielle Morgan, 16

Career ambition: Would like to be a

defense attorney



College choice: Unknown

Other future plans: Hopefully, as a side hobby, to stay involved with music

Community service involvement: National Honor Society and Interact, volunteer at

Pomeroy  Farms, Food Bank, Ladybug Bazaar

Special talents: Singing and piano

Sports participation: Cheer, wrestling, softball

Hobbies: Loves to write and play piano

High School or other community honors received: Choir section leader, Best Vocalist Award, varsity letters in cheer

Random fact: “My favorite color is pink.” 

 

Jenifer Barber, 17

Career ambition: Go to an arts college for dance, become a professional dancer; later in life go back to college for science-physics

College choice: Attending Clark Community

College while in high school, post graduation

destination is unknown

Other future plans: “I would love to teach dance, if my professional career is cut short.”

Community Service involvement: Silver Buckle Ranch, Children’s Home Society, Educational Opportunities for Children and Families, dancing at various retirement homes

Special talents: Can speak Japanese

Sports participation: Danced for the past five years

Hobbies: Video games, horseback riding

High school or other community honors received: Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society member, Perfect Attendance Award, Character Award

Random Fact: “I am the secretary of the Japanese Culture Club.”
