Q&A with Bryce Cordon, senior wide receiver and safety for the Prairie Falcons

Posted

Favorite meal?

A good ‘ol American hamburger.

 Favorite movie?

The Predator franchise. The first one was really good. It started off with a bang. I’m really excited for the new one. I’m a really nerdy creature feature kid and I really enjoy comics. When I saw Predator in comics, it just blew my mind.

 Favorite football player?

Cooper Kupp, Los Angeles Rams. We have a lot of the same styles. I take a lot of stuff out of watching him on film.

 Favorite football team?

The Oakland Raiders. My family is all Seahawks, but I’m a diehard Raiders fan.

 Definition of a Prairie Falcon?

A kid who is willing to go into the dirty and gritty part of sports and school and really put out full effort. Get straight A’s. Go to Running Start. Just do all that you can to make yourself better as a person and for the school.

What separates this team from the rest?

Our drive and how we are totally changing this program. New coaching staff, new head coach, new uniforms, making ourselves feel better in how we look and how we play.

Plans for life after high school?

My plan is to either go into nursing or become a firefighter/paramedic. My dad’s a firefighter/paramedic and my mom’s a nurse, so I’ve learned a lot and I really excel in those classes at Prairie.

How will football get you there?

Football really builds your character. It teaches you how rough life can be. People call daily doubles hell week. It’s not hell week if you don’t think about it that way. Knowing that you can push through it and persevere is a really big thing.
