State Cross Country: La Center girls takes second, three top-10 finishers out of Ridgefield

Boys: Only one speedster competed for Prairie High School in the 2A state tournament. 

Sophomore Luke Lund finished 71st with a time of 16:33.90.

Girls:  One runner competed for Prairie. 

Sophomore Meri Dunford took 14th with a time of 18:34.90. 

2A 

Boys: after winning districts just a week before, Ridgefield junior Kyle Radosevich took sixth place at the Washington 2A state tournament in Pasco last weekend. Radosevich finished with a 15:59.50 time. 

Four other runners helped Ridgefield finish seventh overall among 2A teams with an average time of 17:03.81. 

Senior Ciarnin McNeil finished 39th with a time of 16:38.90; Senior Miles Bethel finished 42nd with a time of 16:40.90; Junior Logan Newman finished 67th with a time of 17:02.80; Freshman Ethan McQuivey finished 89th with a time of 17:23.80; Junior Ian Abrams finished 92nd with a time of 17:24.40; and sophomore Tyler Lehnertz finished 148th with a time of 18:16. 

Two Hockinson runners competed in the 2A state tournament. Junior Kai Conradie finished 154th with a time of 18:41; junior Tyler Peterson finished 142nd with a time of 17:59.40.  

 

Girls: Hockinson finished 11th overall with a time of 22:51.57. 

Freshman Allyson Peterson took 25th with a time of 19:40; 

Junior Abby Orman took 90th with a time of 21:05.6; Junior Julia Zora took 112th with a time of 21:27.80; Freshman Taylor Kopp took 105th with a time of 21:40.50; Junior Adyson Dyre took 133rd with a time of 21:51.9; Freshman Tenlee Pulsipher took 156th with a time of 23:22.40; Junior Peyton Nash took 160st with a time of 30:52.80. 

Two runners competed for Ridgefield. 



Senior Hailey Figueras took 34th with a time of 20:06.80; Sophomore Jane Kuebrich took 69th with a time of 20:39.80; and junior Ashley Vega took 137th with a time of 21:57.40. 

Two runners competed for Woodland. 

Senior McKenna Flanagan took 39th with a time of 20:14.70 and senior Natalie Biddix took 92nd with a time of 21:07. 

1A 

Boys: La Center High School placed 14th overall with seven runners competing in the 1A state tournament. 

Senior Calvin Dubois finished 29th with a time of 16:49.50; Senior Isaac Brown finished 53rd with a time of 17:15.30; Senior Sean Murray finished 95th with a time of 17:48.50; Junior Jackson Leavitt finished 112th with a time of 17:58.70; Senior Mateo Macial-Curry finished 118th with a time of 18:03.40; Sophomore Garret Shapovalov finished 144th with a time of 18:51.30; and junior Tyler Jennings finished 154th with a time of 19:51.60.  

Girls: La Center finished second overall with an average time of 20:50.39. 

Sophomore Natasha Lewis took 11th with a time of 19:13; Sophomore Roselynn Martin finished 18th with a time of 19:33.70; Junior Emily Graham took 29th with a time of 19:59.20; Senior Bethany Whitten took 52nd with a time of 20:28.70; Junior Sierra Harris took 61st with a time of 20:47.70; Sophomore Shelby Kysar took 130th with a time of 22:54.80; and sophomore Alison Brown took 136th with a time of 22:55.60. 

 1B/2B 

Boys: Junior August Albers of Cedar Tree Classical Christian out of Ridgefield took fourth in the 1B/2B class with a time of 16:32.50.

Two other runners from the small private school also competed at state. 

Junior Joshua Bradshaw took 44th with a time of 18:00 and sophomore Ezekiel Cochran finished 91st with a time of 18:40.60. 

Girls: Cedar Tree Classical Christian finished sixth overall with a time of 23:38.63. 

Eighth-grader Maddy Blake took ninth place with a time of 20:15.60; Senior Elin Vanderploeg took 36th with a time of 21:53.80; Eighth-grader Suzie Johnson finished 41st with a time of 22:41.80; Junior Marissa Hunter finished 49th with a time of 23:17; Sophomore Danis Vanderploeg finished 65th with a time of 24:42.50; and sophomore Sara Bradshaw finished 78th with a time of 29:01.10.
