On Friday Ridgefield softball won second place at districts and is going to state.
The Spudders scored three runs in the seventh to force extra innings, but W.F. West won 4-3 on a hit in the bottom of the eighth.
Woodland softball beat Tumwater and Rochester on Friday to secure a spot in state after losing to W.F. West in 10 innings Thursday.
Scores: Woodland 6, Tumwater 2 in the consolation semifinal; Woodland 10, Rochester 0 for third place.
