La Center, Prairie and Battle Ground swimmers qualify for state

La Center High School swimmers Hailey Grotte and Bryanna Ungs became double district champions Saturday in Hoquiam.

Grotte grabbed first place in the 50-meter freestyle (24.61 seconds) and the 100 freestyle (53.55 seconds). Ungs earned first place in the 200 individual medley (2:14.16) and the 100 breaststroke (1:05.89).

Prairie's Savannah Perkins captured the 3A 100 freestyle district championship (59.24 seconds) Saturday in Kelso.

 



Battle Ground’s Jacqueline Ramsey earned second place in the 100 backstroke (1:00.69) at the 4A district meet Saturday in Kelso.

All four of these swimmers qualified for the state championship meet Nov. 9 and 10 at the King County Aquatics Center in Federal Way.
