Neither the Falcons nor the Tigers walked away with school district bragging rights as last night's rivalry game on Prairie's turf ended in a 3-3 draw.

Prairie, who made the state quarterfinals last season, struck first, with a goal off the boot of sophomore Alyssa Talkington.

Battle Ground tied it up later in the first half with a goal from junior Megan Geiger, putting the score at 1-1 at half.

Prairie looked to be running away with the game in the second, taking a 3-1 lead after goals from senior Malaika Quigley and junior Paige Darley, respectively.

But Battle Ground didn't roll over.

Goals from senior Shalene Talkington and then sophomore Eileen Jeschke put the score at 3-3, where it would stay until the final whistle.

Battle Grounds records is now 1-4-1, with no league games under their belt yet. Prairie is 0-2-2 and haven't played a league game yet either.
