BGHS softball team to conduct clinic

BATTLE GROUND – Members of the coaching staff and players of the Battle Ground High School softball team will conduct the BGHS Fastpitch Softball Clinic for area youth on Sat., March 5.

 

Area softball players through the eighth grade level interested in participating in the camp have the opportunity to sign up for two sessions on March 5 – noon-2 p.m. or 2:30-4:30 p.m. Space is limited to 50 players per session. Cost is $20. First 30 players to register will receive a camp T-shirt.

 

Battle Ground coach Arielle Wiser and her coaches and players will teach technique for hitting, fielding and throwing. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes and to bring softball gear.

 



Wiser will also conduct a Coaches Clinic. Cost is $5 (free with five or more players in the camp). Wiser is the 2014 and 2015 Greater St. Helens League Class 4A Coach of the Year. She is a former assistant coach at Mt. Hood Community Conference and was an all-conference performer while playing at Portland State University.
