Battle Ground High School associate principal and athletic director Matt Stanfill was recently named the Class 4A Greater St. Helens League Athletic Director of the Year.

“This recognition is so well deserved for all the hard work that Matt has put in to his job as athletic director at Battle Ground,” said Leta Meyer, Heritage High School’s athletic director, in a news release. “I know our league appreciates Matt hosting regional and state events at BGHS. It really has put Southwest Washington on the map for hosting these events, and the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association sees how well they have been run. Furthermore, hosting these events has a very positive financial impact in our communities.”
