Cats give us much love; feral cats need our help

Posted

Today as always, people have just felt that cats are of no purpose, only that they are under foot and of course need to be fed.

Why, as we sit back and like fat cats, eating, drinking during holidays and watching these skinny little souls try for any scraps of food and care, it seems that we really should try and protect and not neglect them as they share their live with us. It is not their fault they were put here on earth.

To look into a bright-eyed cat is like a mirror of your own life, some good and maybe some not so good. Cats also can have a healing power for bed-bound people who can feel comfort from a purring and loving little cat the helps the bed bound to relax and come to the feeling of calm. The cats are our little helpers.

The city of Yacolt has a mercantile old building; a dance hall and meeting place. Cats, who have been lost and dumped, came to live there. The old building was their only home. Scared and not knowing where they were, it gave the cats a unity maybe even for a few days. They live in families, care for each other and share any small bite of food. Some people in the area have reached out to them and have even gained their trust and gave them handouts and love.

The beauty of these little cats is real, for they should not be thrown away, as we need to realize that man could be the next throw away. Care, love and protect.

Find it in your heart to help the throw-away cats.
