Use the bathroom according to the private parts you have

Editor,

Why do bathrooms exist?

North Carolina should not be shamed for “discriminating” against transgenders. I think they are using something called common sense. Just use the bathroom according to the parts you have.

Transgenders make up less than 1 percent of the U.S. Population. If we are going to start federally recognizing these people who “identify” with the opposite sex, even though their birth certificate shows another, then we have just opened the door to a headache.

How about white/Caucasians who “identify” as African American, Native American, or Hispanic, even though their birth certificate shows white (Remember Rachel Dolezal)? Should they be allowed to claim minority status when applying for jobs, benefits, etc?

Why do bathrooms exist? I would venture to say that we use bathrooms for privacy. Privacy from what? Well probably from each other’s private parts while we use the restroom.

So to honor everyone’s privacy, use the bathroom according to the parts you have. And if you are transgender, until you have changed those parts to what you identify with, you have no grounds to stand.
