Don’t like the casino? Don’t go

Posted

I love the article written by Geo Young (“Locals should not have any say in the casino ‘mess’” published March 23).

Indians were never on a reservation until we put them there. I remember when I first came to Clark County the card rooms in Vancouver were ran out. Don Lee, an attorney, started the card rooms in La Center. They were told to not base city funding on card room revenue because eventually they would go away.

When Dr. Burton retired and subdivided his property people moving to Rolling Hills Estates complained about the cow manure and chicken manure. If you don’t like it, move.

The casino will be about five miles from me. Do I care? No. They have every right to help their own people. So get over it. You don’t have to go there.
