National Day of Prayer

Posted

Editor,

Thursday, May 5, was the 65th National Day Of Prayer. This year’s theme is, “Wake Up America, emphasizing the need for us, individually, and in groups, to return to the God of our Fathers in reverence to His Holy Name.”

My prayer is, and I encourage you, too, to make it your prayer for always, but especially now, for everyone, here in America, and also throughout the whole world, to embrace and believe this verse: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.” (John 3:16).

If ever there was a need for us, God’s people, to do, as we are exhorted to in 2 Chronicles, 7:14, to humble ourselves, pray, and seek God’s face, and turn from our wicked ways, so God will hear us, forgive our sins, and heal our land, it is now.

We, as a nation, are becoming more and more ungodly all the time. Pray that God would give us a godly president and godly people in all the other parts of our governments to try to reverse some of our ungodliness, before we are completely destroyed.
