Do your own research before dismissing Kalama methanol plant

Posted

I continue to read letters each week from those arguing against the methanol plant being located in Kalama. In every case, the writer uses “climate change” as their primary reason for opposition.

I’ll admit right up front that I am not a believer in man-made climate change (previously “global warming” until that term no longer fit the narrative). Many of us still remember being taught in school about the coming “ice age.” Still waiting!

A methanol plant in Kalama may or may not be a good thing for Kalama and the surrounding communities. However, those on either side of the argument should make their case based either on proven science or just admit they simply “don’t want it in my backyard.”

I would encourage those interested to do their own research on climate change and not listen to the talking heads or those who have much to gain through carbon taxes or fees. A great place to start is Steve Goreham, author of “Climate Science and the Myth of Renewable Energy.” He has a great video on YouTube that presents the actual data that helps debunk the current climate change craze. It is well worth a watch.
