Battle Ground schools should make due with existing facilities

For all the taxpayers in Battle Ground, here is a suggestion for the election on Tuesday, Feb 13. Vote no.

Look at your tax bill and watch school taxes rise to the heavens. They easily can and will if voters have no backbone, no strength left. Battle Ground schools will simply point to others and say "they are getting it, why not us?” And people will be left with big holes in their budget for food, heating, clothing and paying other taxes and vitals.

Instead of new shiny facilities how about a good remodeling, a rehab, new roof, floor, painting, heating. Today shoppers walk in food markets and don’t have enough credit on their cards to buy adequate quality food. The teachers don't seem to care. It’s full speed for putting up signs to spend more and then more after that. The kids will understand.

America suffers from being poorly educated — they are not dumb. Modern countries like France, England, and Germany spend only a fraction of what the U.S. spends and they rank far above the testing and performance of the U.S. They take education seriously.

Those with any common sense left will see that the daggers in the back of public schools are put there by public school unions demanding more and than more after that. Life is not so easy.
