Letter to the Editor

Washington taxpayers should be aware of what our president called Washington Gov. Jay Inslee at a recent news conference. Out came “he’s a snake” loud and clear.

Voters should take the hint and vote all conservative and GOP at the next election.

Calling one a “snake” does not a snake make...however it speaks immensely about the person making the claim.

Mr. Krbec, Gov. Inslee vetoed the oil terminal at Port of Vancouver.

Imagine how the Columbia Gorge, or southwest Washington, would be affected by a mile and a half long oil train crashing? In the event of a major earthquake? If there were a fire or an explosion at the terminal?

On July 5, 2013, an oil train derailed in Lac-Mégantic, Quebec, killing 47 people. Heat from the fires was felt over a mile away.

The main purpose of the terminal would have been to export oil to Asia. How would that have benefited citizens of Washington?

It's not Inslee who's a "snake." It's another politician, with an orange hue.
