You are the best, that is the best. May I thank you in my mother tongue, Kisakuma, a language of people living just south of Lake Victoria in the heart of Africa. I would say “webaja no-no-no.’’ The third “no’’ represents the deepest of one’s heart-felt appreciation.
To all of you who encouraged my wife and me in coming, picking and then leaving those who picked berries for us to sell – you then left with a smile and a wish for God’s blessing – webaja no-no-no!
For those who brought your families, picked, enjoyed the patch and let your kids about my face mask – webaja no-no-no!
Some of you even stayed and asked how treatment was going and if there were any ways you could help – webaja no-no-no!
The Psalmist wrote, “Ya, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me.’’ For my wife and me, the walk through the valley of lymphoma along with the treatment of chemotherapy has introduced us to many new friends like each of you – webaja no-no-no!
