Ridgefield bond is a smart investment

Posted

The incredible growth of Ridgefield owes much to the amazing schools in our district with their quality staff and facilities. However, because of that incredible growth, the expected enrollment in the next four years at  Ridgefield schools is 45 percent. This would mean there could be 1,422 new students by 2022. We have the opportunity with the February 12 bond vote to reduce overcrowding by building a new K-4 elementary school, renovate and modernize vocational education training space, improve student access to modern STEM programs, replace at least 20 temporary portable classrooms with permanent classrooms, add covered play areas at all elementary schools, install new HVAC systems at elementary schools and keep kids and teachers safe at school with better security cameras and locking systems. All of these reasons and more are why voting yes on this bond is a smart investment.

Please join me in voting yes for Ridgefield schools on the Feb. 12 ballot.
