Forty years ago, we witnessed the fall of Saigon and the collapse of our embassy there. Are we going to see the same thing happen in Baghdad?
I have called my congresswoman (Beutler), two senators (Cantwell and Murray), John Boehner and Mitch McConnell’s offices. I can't get through to them but from the people I talked with they don't have a clue as to what the plan is to protect our people and embassy there.
I called the White House and Department of Defense and could not get through to anyone at either place. I guess no big surprise there. Can you imagine what will happen to our people if they are taken prisoner by ISIS? Can you imagine what will happen to the embassy if it falls?
I know President Obama has said he does not want to put “boots on the ground” but what is the plan to protect our people and embassy in Baghdad?
