Community input helps shape Battle Ground’s future

Posted

I want to take this opportunity to personally thank the more than 2,000 members of our community who participated in the Battle Ground Roadmap Community Survey.  Your input is helping to shape our future.

This community-driven visioning project is led by a steering committee of volunteers – the Navigators – who are guiding the effort to determine Battle Ground’s future direction and identity.  The outcome of the project is a shared vision for Battle Ground and a strategic action plan to achieve it.

Later this year, the Navigators will adopt and present the final Community Vision and Action Plan to city council.  As the plan unfolds over the years, my hope is the work we have done today will strengthen the fabric of what makes Battle Ground a special place. The city council plans to use the vision to guide city policy and align resources to address top issues: growth, traffic congestion and public safety. With your support and encouragement, the Vision can become a reality.

If you didn’t get the chance to complete the survey, stay tuned — there will be more opportunities for you to become involved in this important and historic project.

Thank you for all you do to make our Battle Ground community a special place.  It is an honor to serve you and I’m excited about the work and opportunities we have ahead of us.
