Food bank offers thanks to Battle Ground community
We at North County Food Bank want to express a heartfelt thank you to our wonderful and generous Battle Ground community.
In the past couple weeks we held two successful events. First, we had the "Stuff the Bus" event, organized by the SEIU school workers and staffed by parents and students, where locals gave donations at Walmart and Fred Meyers. We filled two school busses with boxes of food.
The following week we held the "Stamp Out Hunger" event, where postal workers picked up donations at local mailboxes. We collected over 7,500 pounds of food.
Thank you to all who helped. Thanks to the parents, ROTC, local mail carriers and all our volunteers. Battle Ground is truly a special place, where neighbors care for neighbors — and the North County Food Bank appreciates everyone who helped and donated.
