I would like to thank Commissioner Marc Boldt and Commissioner Steve Stuart for the concerns they have shown for North County, as this is what Mielke was supposed to do.
Tom Mielke has ignored our health, safety and welfare. In his term, the cost (according to County and public records) of doing business for one company has cost Clark County taxpayers dearly:
Advancing over $1,000,000 for roads, over $750,000 in lost home values and $120,000 to hook up to PUD.
The quarry water line of one mile cost an $235,000 estimated minimum.
My cost for 225 feet of frontage was $10,000.
This is all over $2,000,000 to taxpayers.
We have asked him to help. He sounds good but there is no follow-up.
Does Mielke knows more about truck safety on our roads than the state or county code enforcers do? This puts us in harms way. Mielke said, “get an attorney.” We did. We asked that state and county codes be adhered to. Tarped trucks on loads of light weight materials, silica dust on the roads to be stopped.
The net results: we got three signs for an investment of $1500. 1. Stop signs. 2. Trucks entering road signs.
Gabriel Road was the proposed route for trucks. Mr. Rotschy said, “Mr. Stordahl wanted to use Kelly Rd., so he went and talked to Mielke.”
Mielke doesn’t care about our health. He has side stepped any help to all of North County and was questionable help on the BPA issue. His answers to The Columbian interview pertaining to Mr. Rotschy’s well drilling in 2007 was, “that if it was tested, all you would get is mud.” That being said, how does he explain where they get operating water?
The intersection to be built by Rotschy or Stordahl had to be finished by August 2009 or operations were to cease. Big threat, no follow-up. Now taxpayers will pay $400,000 to get it done. He has been willing to look the other way instead of insisting on enforcement of codes. Does he think they respect him. I don’t think they do.
How can he dare ask us to vote for him?
